CBI: Foreign currency sales top $40B in H1 2025

Iraq’s foreign currency sales surpassed $40B in the first half of 2025, the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) said on Monday.
Official data showed total sales at $40.904 billion, up 17 percent from $34.735 billion in the same period last year.
The breakdown included $39.517 billion in external transfers and $1.387 billion in cash sales.
