“Shafaq News “ reporter said that “ the Parliament elected President of Change bloc, Yusuf Muhammad Sadiq as its Speaker after receiving 84 votes out of 111 votes as 17 members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) refrained from voting and the absence of its 18th member , the former Speaker of the Parliament , Arslan Baez for session and receiving 7 ballot blank papers.

He said the representative of Kurdistan Democratic Party , Jafar Aamenki won the post of Deputy Speaker of Parliament after receiving 86 votes , while the candidate of Kurdistan Islamic group , Fakhruddin Qader won the post of secretary of parliament by 79 votes .

Electing process of the presidential board took place by secret ballot in accordance with the demands of the blocs in Parliament .

In his first speech after being elected , Speaker of parliament , Yusuf Mohammed Sadiq demanded all internalized blocs in parliament to submit its nominees to fill the presidency and membership of the permanent committees , giving a deadline for the next Sunday to complete the submission of nominations .

Sadeq who is the President of Change movement in the Parliament thanked in his speech all the members who voted for his presidency and who did not vote .

Electing the presidency process comes after nearly seven months of procedures for the parliamentary elections in Kurdistan .
